River Walk Overview

A scenic 1.2-mile trail high above the banks of the Ohio River offers excellent views, resting areas, and wheelchair accessibility. The riverbank park also offers golf, a swimming pool and water slide, playground, picnic facilities, and a skate park.

  • Denton Shelter Available for daily rental; air-conditioned and accommodates 125 people.
  • The Gathering Place Provides activities and meal service for senior citizens.
  • River Walk One mile long, parallels the Ohio River, and includes two scenic overlooks.
  • Park fields Four baseball fields and two softball fields; managed by the Henderson Recreation Association and used for Bambino and Babe Ruth leagues.
  • Other facilities Ten picnic shelters, playground equipment, restrooms, and seating capacity of 5,750 at the ballfield area.
