Wildlife Management Area is located along Hwys 56 and 141 in Union
County approximately 2 miles east of Morganfield. The majority of the
5,424 acre management area, owned by the Kentucky Department of Fish
and Wildlife Resources, is forest land with over 10 miles of hiking
trials and gravel roads traversing it. There is also an 82-acre lake,

native grass fields and shallow water impoundments. The 82-acre lake
and shallow water impoundment areas hold a variety of waterfowl, wading
and shorebirds during the fall and winter. The terrestrial habitat
encompasses old field to mature hardwood forest and holds a large
variety of songbirds throughout the year.
:The management area
office is located at the junction of Hwy 56 and Hwy 141 in Union
County. The area is accessible via several roads leading from both Hwy
56 and Hwy 141.

Lake Mauzy "Free Camping"
Enjoyed my time here, the outdoor lab is very nice. Also visited lake
Mauzy, very quiet retreat if your looking for a place to set up camp.
Camping is free and sites are right on the lake. Beautiful area, and a
great place to horseback.
